Strange and huge files appeared this morning

This morning I got a warning that my hosting space was full.

I discovered that in “members” directory there are files called “core.5123”, “core.10303” and others like these.
Three of them are about 30 Mb in size. Other six are 0 kb and all of them were created yesterday.

Do you think that pmachine created these files? Can I safely trash them?
