Is there a simple way to use the mini calendar to link to events instead of blog posts?

The “mini-calendar” is only designed to display weblog entries.

However, you can change the size of the regular calendar to make it display small like the mini-calendar.  You can specify it manually in your pages when you call the calendar; look under Calendar Tags in the Tag Library.  Or you could change the size of the main/default event calendar under Calendar Prefs in the Control Panel.

thanks for the suggestion. But I have a problem: I changed the calendar size from calendar prefs in the control panel and then I copied the follow tag in my html page   ” <?php mixed_calendar($year,$month); ?> “. It’s seems ok, but when I link to the next month from the browser (ie or firefox), I go to a blank page with the calendar only..
Using the mini calendar is different, with the month’s navigation I can see all of the html page.
I tried to “include” the calendar index page, but the problem is the same.
What can I do?

The regular calendar (not the mini-calendar) is designed to be displayed by itself.  By default that’s on the calendar/index.php page.

You didn’t say anything about using it inside another page.  Indeed, you didn’t say anything at all about how you wanted to use it.  I simply suggested how you could get a small calendar that used events and not weblog entries, which is what you asked.

i have installed theos script and Its integrated with the pmachine cpanel but now I dont have the feature to send birthday email. nor do i have the feature for members to check if they want to be added to mailing list , during registration or thru admin area. they could only be added if the add their email to the mailing list text area of main page.

was this caused by this hack? how can I get those features back?
