Hi everyone, I have a question for the pMachine team, I’m adapting a template (originally made for worpress, the excellent Kubrick theme by Michael heilemann binarybonsai.com) , for pMachine 2.3 pro, and I’d like to know if I can redistribute modified files of pM 2.3 or not?

Sure, I’ll publish the adaptation of Kubrick for pM pro and you can download it. But I must test all files, change some tags, eliminate non-used tags of wordpress ... I think I’ll finish it this week, because I have so work to do.

You cannot redistribute the backend/core files.  However, if you simply have some frontend files like weblog.php, comments.php, archive.php, etc. that you’ve created then you may make those available for others to use.

(You might want to make sure the original “Kubrick” author is okay with it, too.)

I want to redistribute only weblog.php, weblog.css, comments.php, not the backend/core files. The author of this theme is okay, in fact, every cms systems can use it, EE, WP, Textpattern, MT, ...

that’s fine with me, i only want to change the apparience of my project site, not the pmachine core (pM fills all the web-based needs of the project).

Just can you tell me (when you finish the theme), where can i download it?

Thanks again…by the way the cactus is a desert plant from México, it can survive with just a few water and a lot of sunlight and cacti means a lot of cactus.

The Kubrick theme will be downloadable on my blog, perhaps on Wednesday 29th or Thursday 30th.

I’ve finished to modify the files index.php, weblog.css, search page,... but I must write a file with the tags to include in your control panel, for the template, so be patient, you could download Kubrick for pMachine in a few hours. (I must go to bed :D )

I’ll probably include recent comments, who is online and category count hacks if the authors are okay? You can see the results.
