New Host Issues

Hello, my hosting plan had recently expired without renewing itself, so when I went to renew, the hosting company put me on a different one of their servers and I therefore had to upload my entire web site to another server.

The web site is thegraymatter.net

Also, when I go to log in at www.thegraymatter.net/index/php/pm/  with my old admin info, it says that the password is incorrect, yet it works fine when I sign on to pmachines web site.

HELP!

Thanks,
Kyle

Is there any possibility that all of my blog entries could have been lost? I’m quite concerned there is. ANYBODY?!?!?!

Kyle, cursing isn’t going to get you a quicker answer.

Since none of us know what your password is, how do you expect us to help?

There is a Forgot? link when you log in. Have you tried resetting your password that way?

It does look like you may have lost some of your entries. When you reuploaded your web content, did you also transfer over your database?

haha it worked, you responded.

Yes, and when I enter the email, it says that it doesn’t exist in its database.

And if you enter the correct password, it will say that it is incorrect, I know that. Any more advice????

Thanks for your response,

Kyle

Mmm, well, all I did was reupload my entire htdocs folder

The database should have been in there somewhere, no?

Thanks again

Uh, no.

You have to also have a MySQL database. You don’t get that in an htdocs folder.

As far as me responding, I didn’t respond because you were crass. I responded because I might be able to help you.

You need to use PHPMyAdmin or something similar to import your old MySQL database.

If you don’t have it any more, I’d suggest you use EECore instead.

OKAY, so I have the database thing all figured out. I hate to contact the host and have them recover it. It is now recovered and I can login and edit my entries and everthing, however, when I go to my site www.thegraymatter.net the same error is still there.

Any ideas?

Thanks again,

Kyle

Install EECore. I’d rather help you use supported technology than try and fix a messed up unsupported program.
