Captchas not showing

Hello,

I have scoured the forums looking for a solution but have not found one so far.  Since moving my site to a new server, the captchas have disapeard.  That is, I have all my settings set so that I should see them.  I have checked and re-checkd permissions and paths.  I even re-installed the captchas directory from a fresh download of pMachine.  I checked with my host and they meat the GD requirements.

When I visit a page that should have a captcha the text saying to type in the word below as well as the actual image does not show.  To see what I mean visit this page.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Problem solved.  My host had told me the wrong relative path.

I just ran into this problem as well. And yes, the relative path to your captchas must be set correctly in the pmachine control panel. (it’s under the “General Preferences”)

And example of how a relative path might change:

It could be like this
/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/pmachine/images/captchas

Or it might be like this:
/home/httpd/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/pmachine/images/captchas

Or it might be something else. These are just some examples.

(where domain.com is the name of your domain)

I just moved a blog for someone and the captchas weren’t showing. I changed the value for the “Relative Path to Captcha Folder” (in “General Preferences” in the pmachine control panel) as I suggested above, but I found out that I also had to go onto the ftp server make the images/captchas/ directory set to 777 permission (aka “writable”).
