Will pMachine work with Oracle?

I know that pMachine states that it works with php and MySQL, but wondering if it would also work with Oracle. Has anyone tried this or is currently operating it this way?

Any feedback that you may have is great!

pMachine only works with MySQL. As far as getting it to work with Oracle, that’s very doubtful.

pMachine as a product is no longer being developed. You’d have better luck with ExpressionEngine.

pMachine Pro uses a “database abstraction layer” for its interaction with the database. So, theoretically, it might be possible to get it to work with Oracle or some other database. You would have to write the abstraction file for it, though. See the pm/db/db.mysql.php file to see the MySQL abstraction file.

I’m not aware of anyone ever trying this to get pM Pro to run on Oracle database (or any other non-MySQL database, for that matter).
