I haven’t had the need before to really use different font attributes on the weblog text before.  I have a site I’m working on that the client needs to be able to bold, colorize and use italics on some of the text. How do I make it easy for him to do this himself?  He has no html knowledge.  I would like to be able to set something up for him, but I’ve never really figure out the text editor in pMachine pro.

Thanks, Pat smile

Are you talking about text within a weblog entry?  If so, you can use pMcode just like here in the forum.

I still don’t fully understand how to set this up for the client.  That’s not very clear to me.

Thanks, Pat smile

Well, I tried to define some html for the buttons at the top of the editor in the admin panel, if I’m understanding it correctly.  If I highlight the text I want to add a font attribute to, clicking on the defined buttons, puts the code at the bottom of the page instead around the text I’ve highlighted.  I guess I don’t understand why the editor isn’t working easily.  I’m trying to make this as simple as possible for the client - because they don’t know any html.

Thanks, Pat smile

The buttons in pMachine don’t support the ability to highlight text and have the code wrapped around that text.

You can do a search in the forums for “WYSIWYG editor” in the pM forums.  There are a number of external editors that people have integrated in.  That could be what you want.

I took your advise and searched for “WYSIWYG editors” and found a post about Labs4.com and purchased their HTMLeditbox v 2.3 software.  I added the pM integretion script and it’s working like a charm.

Thanks heads up on what to search for.
