Parse error in install.php

Hi, today I downloaded Pmachine Pro version 2.3 and tried installing it. I uploaded everything and such but for some reason I keep getting the following messege on the install.php page when I try to run it:

Parse error: parse error in /home/kalirose/public_html/pm/install.php on line 2297

I tried deleting things and reuploading just to be certain it was all in Ascii mode and it’s still doing it. I even looked around in the install.php page to be sure everything was closed and such and everything looked correct. I tried downloading a fresh copy to be sure it wasn’t corrupted but that also didn’t work! I’m kinda fustrated; can someone help me out a bit? What on earth could the problem be?

I’ve used Pmachine Free in the past (it’s been a few months but I have used it) and got it uploaded and running in a matter of minutes. Could this be something with my host? They offer to install Pmachine free so I can’t imagine there’s any reason they shouldn’t be able to run Pro.

I’d really appreciate any help anyone’s able to offer. I’m so fustrated.

I think a problem is occurring with the file during upload since the install file has no line number 2297.  Try grabbing a fresh copy of the program from our site and uploading it again.  Based on your description I’m reasonably confident that it’s a file problem.  You might try using a different FTP program if you have one just to eliminate that from the equation.

Well, I now have everything uploaded but it never fully uploads so that could be part of the problem. I ended up using the install of PMachine Free my host offers and then trying to do the upgrade to PMachine Pro following the instructions given and even though I followed then all to the letter, I’ve got parse errors everywhere. I thought it might be something with the ftp and tried using a different one as well as the file uploader in my Cpanel and still have the same problem. Is it possible it’s a problem on my host’s end causing this?

Something is happening during upload.  Either some of the files are only being partially uploaded or something is corrupted.  If you want to email me your FTP info I can try giving it a whirl.  Click here to email me.
