changing pinging service from weblogs to rpc.pingomatic.com

I found that in /pm/xmlrpc/ping.fns.php, I can change the URL from rpc.weblogs.com to rpc.pingomatic.com. Is it just an simple replace or is there more involved to change pinging services?

If they use the same sort of ping protocol then I think that’s all you should need to do.

I found pingomatic doesn’t work from the ping interface - I just get errors saying it couldn’t reach pingomatic.
