Forcing columns to stay put!

I’ve searched this forum but don’t see any ideas on how to keep a 2 column CSS format to “not” break when the browser is resized.

Is there some way to do that?  In other words, if I have a 2 column pMachine design and the browser is not maximized such that both columns are side-by-side but, rather, are one on top of the, other, how do I stop that stacking behavior?

Thanks for any help!

Christi

The behavior you describe is a side-effect of the CSS layout approach used in the default/sample weblog that comes with pMachine.  There are any number of other layouts that you can use if you choose.  This entry in the Knowledge-Blog contains links to a number of layout resources.

Ok, thanks Chris.  I did take a look at the Knowledge-Blog and will keep that for future reference.

On a side note, I was able to resolve my problem by adding a container div around my navigation and content divs.  This keeps everything together and doesn’t cause the columns to bump down when the browser is resized.
