I just want to show a specific single entry.  Is there a tag I can use to do this.  What I want to do is have an entry on the main page that always stays there.  SO, how do i call to just that entry?  I am sure this has been answered in the forums but i can’t seem to find the answer!

There are quite a few approaches you could take.  The two common ones:

1. Hard-code the ID in a weblog entries tag.  The “P” in front of the number is important:

<?php weblog_entries("P147", "yourweblog"); ?>

2. Use a pBlock to display the static content.

Perfect, jsut the two options I thought.  However if i take the pBlock route can I hard edit in an admin option that only lets them edit the pBlocks?

Not sure exactly what you’re asking.  You’re wanting to restrict things so some users can edit that one pBlock but not others?  That can’t be done without hacking of the backend.

In the administration side of things.  I just was wondering if there was an admin option I could give someone that would only allow them to edit pBlocks.  You have to give them lots of privialges (Admin level 3 i believe) to give them the right to edit pblocks.  Suppose i only want the admin to have the right to eidt pblocks.  Do able without eding the backend too much? or no?

No, you’d have to hack the backend some for that ability.  All the access level checks are done in pm/index.php and pm/cp/global.vis.cp.php, I believe, so if you know some PHP then it shouldn’t be too hard to figure it out.
