Help! Problems upgrading from Free 2.3 to Pro 2.4

Hi - I’ve got into a bit of a mess upgrading from pmachine Free 2.3 to pmachine pro 2.4. The weblog is no longer displaying itself on my site and appears to be empty when accessed directly. What’s worse, I can’t log on anymore. When I try to access the control panel, I just get an invalid username/password message. What am I doing wrong?
