Hi, I’ve searched the forums and documentation and can’t find an answer so I’m posting here:

I have 3 people on my site with 3 different weblogs.  I’d like each user to be able to edit and create entries and templates on only the weblog assigned to them, rather than ALL 3 weblogs.  Is there something I’m missing about how to accomplish restricting access to every weblog except their own?

Set them to either Admin 1 or Admin 2 level and they will only be able to access the weblog assigned to them as their “default weblog”.

Thank you for your help.

Which admin level will allow each user to edit their template and preferences for ONLY their own weblog?

Also, it may be right in front of me, and I’m not seeing it, but how do you change the status of a user from, say Admin Level 3 to Admin Level 4?

Sorry to keep bugging you, but I am posting as a last resort.  Thanks again.

I should have said

“Which admin level will allow each user to edit their entries, comments, template and preferences for ONLY their own weblog?”

You can change a user’s membership level by editing the user account in the pM Control Panel.  At the bottom of their profile is a drop-down you can use to change the member level.

I’m afraid there isn’t a member level that will do what you want.  In order to give access to Edit Templates and Weblog Management, the user must be a higher member level, which means they will also have access to all of the weblogs.  You would have to hack the backend to change this behavior.
