Last Few Articles From Multiple Weblogs

I use pm in a sorta unique way.  If you look at my website, you will notice I have lots of different sections (using a different weblog for each section).

I am curious if anyone has put together a tag hack that would allow me to display the title (with its link and optional date/time posted) to the last 5 articles posted, in order, from multiple weblogs. Note: I just want the most recent 5 articles -from any and all existing weblogs-, not the most recent article from each weblog.

I can’t imagine that I’m the first to ask this, but I haven’t found an appropriate hack to do it…  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please don’t suggest using EE (assuming it can do this), because it’s out of the question right now due to lack of funds…

Try the “weblog_headlines” pM Tag.  See the Tag Library for information.  From your description it should work fine.

using the “weblog_headlines” pM Tag, is this possible to show headlines from a few of the weblogs, in chronological order, and not all?  i know how to show from one specific weblog, but not a few.  i currently have 15 blogs (not all are active) and i need to show like 3 or 4 of them on the same page:

master date - Tuesday:
blog 1 - 5:00 pm
blog 1 - 4:00 pm
blog 2 - 3:00 pm
blog 4 - 2:00 pm
blog 3 - 1:30 pm

master date - Monday:
blog 4 - 6:00 pm
blog 1 - 4:00 pm
blog 2 - 12:00 pm
blog 3 - 10:00 am
blog 1 - 9:00 am

No.  You can display from a specific weblog or from all weblogs, but not from “some” weblogs.  Well, not without hacking.

You might want to try Michel.be‘s Function Customizer add-on.  It should allow you to do what you want.
