I want to use pmachinefree2.3 for a community of 90 people..(the free version contains all the features i want to have) .....but.......
I know that the free version does NOT have the feature “collective weblog” so i want to set all members on Level 7 = Admin Level 1, so that they all can make entries from the control panel..
my question: does this work out? or is the number of admins level 1 restricted??
My second question is about the “design” of my weblog..i already made an non-working dummy and now, i want to design my pmachine-weblog like my dummy. Is this possible or do i have to use the “design” which is pre-installed with pmachinefree2.3 ???

I really hope that someone of you can help me and give some information?

pMachine Free does allow you to use a Collective Weblog.  Just be aware that with pM Free you only get one weblog so you’ll only have the single collective weblog.

As for integrating an existing design… yes, that’s entirely possible.  I suggest taking a look at these tutorials to get a better idea.

i looked into the feature comparison and there it is said:  feature “collective weblog” --> “No”
..but in my control panel i can choose between: “yes.this is a collective weblog” and “no collective weblog”..
so i was quit confused.
Could be that i still do not exactly understand what is meant with collective although i read the whole manual and featurelist.. Does it mean that all members ( Level 1 - Level 6) can make entries?
I created a test-meber and gave her the Member Level 1. In my preferences i changed to “yes. collective weblog” but my test-member couldn´t log in at all!! When i gave her an admin-level she could log in ?
AM i completely wrong? Perhaps its because i am not quit familiar with english - so i do understand a bit slowly
please help!

A “collective weblog” is designed to allow people to submit an entry from outside the Control Panel.  Follow the link to the collective weblog information I posted above.  You have to put the collective weblog entry form on your site somewhere.
