Show/Hide comments & Archives, skinning EE, comment pop up

Hi! I’m used to MT’s show/hide comments and I would like to have that in EE too, but I can’t figure out how to do it.

How to put the archive into a drop down menu?
And; Is there a tutorial for how to make EE skinnable?
And the last, comment-pop up script…

Does anyone knows where I can find scripts for this?
I am a total newbie to EE, but love it.....
