It’s the oddest thing!

I recently upgraded to pMachine 2.4

Now my ‘%%comment_hits%%‘ doesn’t count properly.

It only counts if ‘%%comments_total%%‘ is showing at least one comment.

In other words, I have to add a comment in order for the comments link to count views of the comment page. If I later delete that comment, then the feature doesn’t count subsequent views of the comments page.

Odd, the comment hit counter does not care if there are any comments, only that the post exists.  I checked this on my development site and it updates the views just fine with or without comments for an entry.

I just recently upgraded the whole thing to pMachine 2.4.

Please have a closer look and see what you can discover.

I’ve installed a fresh install of 2.4 some days ago and I got the same problem. I;m also running a weblog on pmachine 2.4 for a year now. Also got the problem over there…

The views of a post/blog aren’t counted untill thre is 1 comment.

Is there already a solution for it?

You do realize the pMachine is a discontinued product?

But I can’t replicate the problem you’re having in my test install of 2.4.
