Hello - trying to intall V2.4.1 manually and I get the below error at step 7

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /changed/install.php could not be found on this server.

I uploaded and revised files (to the best of my knowledge) twice as per the install instructions

please note that the above error is in FireFox… this is what IE says

The resource cannot be displayed
The resource you are looking for cannot be opened by your browser
HTTP Error 406 - Not acceptable

and actually it happens when I hit “update” on page 6 to move on to page 7

Anytime that I’ve seen a 406 error has been due an overzealous setup of mod_security.  You should check with your host about this.

There is no workaround that I’ve seen - it’s a security module installed on the server.  The workaround has been to get the host to add an exception to it. =)

well, they disabled it for me so I could install (they rock!) and then re-enabled it so all is well for now… do you think I might run into any other issues due this or was it just for the installation?

Now I have started getting this problem, on 19 September.  It happens in the control panel whenever I try to post an entry (new or updated edit).

I have contacted my host provider’s tech support, so hopefully they undersand what “overzealous mod_security” means wink
