Old site problems

Hi I have a site that I paid for a pro account in 2004 I believe. Anyway, we can’t login all of a sudden. We see the login screen, but then the browser displays a blank page. Any idea why we can’t see the admin panel?

Captchas not showing

Hello,

I have scoured the forums looking for a solution but have not found one so far. Since moving my site to a new server, the captchas have disapeard. That is, I have all my settings set so that I should see them. I have checked and re-checkd permissions and paths. I even re-installed the captchas directory from a fresh download of pMachine. I checked with my host and they meat the GD requirements.

When I visit a page that should have a captcha the text saying to type in the word below as well as the actual image does not show. To see what I mean visit this page.

Any help is very much appreciated.

File Upload Tool -> File Types

I just started hosting a pMachine 2.3 Based site built by someone else. pretty nice tool, really. But I have one question that the help file doesn’t address. When I click the Arrow to upload a file, the dialog box gives me the option of an image file or a non-image file. I want to upload a PDF, but when I try, the tool responds with an error of “File Type Not Supported.” How do I manipulate the file types that the tool will allow me to upload?

pmachine pro to expression engine upgrade?

hello,

i have a client who has been using pmachine pro 2.2.1 since 2004. they would now like a new website using expression engine. they would like to keep the database entries from pmachine. is it possible to transfer this database and use it with expression engine?? how difficult is this?

RSS Items per page

Does anyone know how I can increase the number of items my rss feed displays past the 99 item mark? I need to download a blog with 120 days in it, and pmachine limits me to the last 99 days?? Anyone with an IDEA??

Security Issues

Hi,

My host has arbitrarily decided to change permissions on my PMachine folder and deny anyone - myself included - access to the files.

They say that:
“Access is denied to this folder as the PHP scripts in there were more than likely insecure and hackers sent out thousand of spam messages. The timestamp of this directory is March 2003.”

Now the claim that the scripts were more than likely insecure sounds like guesswork to me and despite me asking I haven’t been told whether spam messages have been sent out or if that’s just more than likely too.

But before I go a ranting could you tell me a) if there are any such security issues you’re aware of and b) roughly how many times the latest version of PMachine Pro has been downloaded?

Viewing Multiple Hit Counters on the Admin Control Panel Home Page?

Hi,

I have set up several weblogs on a site, and I am not understanding how (if it is possible) to have each weblog template tell the database that a hit has been made to that particular weblog. I see and understand that in the pMachine tags it is possible to call and display the counter for visits to a page that somehow is assigned a unique name, but I don’t understand how assign a weblog template that unique counter name in the template code.

Should I figure out how to record hits uniquely made to each of the weblogs on a website, I am then wondering if there is then a way to see the hit counts related to each of these pages on the main admin page.

Currently, I only see on the main page in the admin control panel the following:

Hit Counter Stats Hits
-------------------------
Main hit counter X

I hope my question is somewhat clear. I am a newer user to pMachine, so I appreciate any help.

calendar items disappearing

I had been entering new calendar items and they were showing up on the homepage. www.nddev.com in the top right hand corner. now all of a sudden, when i add them, they are disappearing. i don’t know what has happened to my settings. i don’t remember even changing anything. when i click on calendar in my “pm” folder, to look at my entries, they aren’t even there. please help.
